PREZI

PREZI is a really creative way to present your ideas and projects. It adopts a non-linear logic that allows you move from one idea to another in a more flexible way. 

Before starting with this activity, read carefully this tutorial. 


Activity #1 - (Pre-Intermediate level ~ 12~14 years old)- "Let's travel around the world"
In this activity the proposal is to make profit from this global way of working with Prezi and get students to work on a world map. This predetermined template makes it possible to work with geographical places in a more appealing way. What is more, you can go from a broad term and then start narrowing down the information and study a topic in more and more detail. 

(At the bottom of this entry, you can see a sample to this activity that may help you)

1) Choose one continent to work with. Then choose at least 3 different countries from this continent. 
2)  Think of three broad aspects of the countries you would like to explore. Example: food, music, geography. 
3) Look information about the different aspects you have chosen to explore about each country. 
Save your information in a word document. Also include general information such as the capital city, the head of the state, etc.
4) Access PREZI and create an account. 
5) Create a New Prezi. Choose the template of the world map. In the title of your Prezi presentation you should include the name of the continent.
6) Create one frame/circle on the first country you have chosen. As a title write the name of the country. In the body of the text write some information about the country. 
7) Within the same frame/cirlce, create another frame/circle in order to include information about each aspect you have decided to deal with. (Example: one frame for food, one for music, one for geography)
8) Remember to include at least one image and one video/hyperlink in each frame. They must be in accordance with the information you are including. 
9) Repeat the steps with each country. 
10) Remember to join each country's frame/circle with an arrow. In this way you can show the "trace of the journey" around the contient. 
11) You can change the path of the slides in PREZI. 
12) Share it with your classmates!

In this very short sample, we start with the Topic: “Latin America” and start narrowing down into three different countries: Mexico, Brasil and Argentina; at the same time we can also go deeper into each countries cultural elements such as: music, food, places to visit.
