Mural.ly

This tool is a nice board where you can organize your ideas with attractive visual aids. 
Before you start with the activity, take a look at this tutorial.


Now access Mural.ly and create an account. 

Activity#1 - "Meet my favourite artist"
Group: Elementary level - Age: 11~12


You're going to create a Mural on your favourite artist (band, pop singer, rock band, etc)

1) Think of one artist you like. 
2) Look up some information about your band/musician and write it down on a word document. 
Make sure you include:

• when they started doing music
• where they come from
• what kind of music they compose. 
• information about their albums
• Further interesting information 

Write all that information down in a word document, send it to your teacher so that she can give you feedback on that. 

3) After you have recevied your corrected word document about your artist, you can start creating a Mural. 

Give it a title where you mention the artist you have chosen. 

4) Organize the information you have gathered into a mind map. You will need to use arrows.  Take into account: what information is more important? How are the different ideas connected? 

5) Try to usea as many pictures as possible and give then a caption.

6) You must include at least two videos. 

7) In at least three different objects include a sticky note with a question so that your classmates can answer them. The questions could be: 

Did you like this song? Why (not)? 

What other artists could you relate them to?

Would you like to buy this album?

8) Once you have finished your Mural, you'lle have to make an oral presentation on your artist and use your Mural as support.

9) Share your Mural with your classmates so that they can answer the questions you have written.
